Road dogs

Thrasher Magazine, Dec, 2004 by Mary Fenton

Every summer for the past couple years I've teamed up with some old friends and seasoned drinking buddies for a big annual skate trip around my home state. The vehicles change and the brand of poison fluctuates, but the good company has remained the same. Each year I find more concrete has been poured to morph more acreage of Rocky Mountain landscape into pristine skateboard back-country. And this year was no exception at all. Carbondale is just the latest in a long series of Grindline masterpieces, and the Carbondale Run itself--highlighting pyrotechnics, madman mudslides, and a beercan suitable for Paul Bunyan happened to fall in the middle of the trip, also a short drive from the newly finished addition to the Montrose park and a rock's toss to Aspen. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend of riotous antics.
