Thrasher Magazine, May, 2005 by Ethan Scott

I am a 13-year-old skater from Windsor, California, and have been skating for about two and a half years. Recently I tore my ACL in my knee while skating at Healdsburg skatepark. I tore it in November, but was lucky and didn't have to have any pins or a rod. While I was hurt, I received a copy of Rocket Science. It was amazing. Jeremy Reeves' part was really good. He is an astonishing skater and I like his smooth style. The "falls" part was harsh and showed me (and lots of others) just how hard ams and pros work to land all those tricks. Just in two (and a half) years of hard skating I have fractured my wrist, broken my foot, and now I have torn my ACL. But once I can skate again I'll be out everyday. You cannot just quit the thing(s) you really love just because of pain. Anyway, the video was great and I also liked the Wallenberg contest. It was amazing to see all the skaters throw themselves down the set, get up, and go again. I would like to thank everyone at Thrasher--all of the photographers, filmers, and skaters--for making the Rocket Science video. Without having it, my injuries would be even more boring.
