In a rare episode of gracious giving-up, Alan Petersen has humbly retired from pro skate-boarding for a future in the Australian outback. Though we're sad to see him go, we'll always have fond memories of those gigantic front-side ollies and that horrific ditch slam in the last Consolidated vid. Good luck, Al.

In yet another sad stepping down, reluctant skate-photog-turned-uptown-sophisticate Patrick O'Dell turned in his F5 and fisheye for a job as photo editor of Vice magazine. In some happier news, Pat "Street Rake" Rakestraw scored two new sponsors with Duff's and Split in the same week. Sounds like it's time for some name-brand cola, Pat!

After landing a fat check at the Dyrdek Skate Plaza contest, Tommy "Die Trying" Sandoval dropped it all on a 1992 Lincoln limousine. It's awesome, like, every night is prom night! Better get fitted for a tux, Tommy.
