Tendura
In addition to its covered porch flooring, the manufacturer created TenduraTread for use in stair applications. Made of 40 percent recycled plastic and 60 percent industrial waste wood fiber, TenduraTread is minimally rounded to provide traction and to prevent slipping, the maker says. Designed to look like quarry-mined slate, Celadon ceramic slate tile is one of two new roofing tile profiles. Celadon measures 10 5/18 inches by 16 inches and is 3/4 inch thick; at $98 pounds per square, it's easier to handle and install than genuine slate, says the maker. The new Ductless Mini-Split air conditioner is a small, quiet, attractive alternative to window-mounted air conditioners in older homes where installing ducted air conditioning systems is not feasible. Featuring a rectangular wall-mounted indoor unit and a separate compressor unit that is situated outside the home, the Ductless Mini-Split comes in several cooling and heat pump models, and has three operating modes and fan speeds. The interior of the door panel has a wood-grained surface that can be stained with one of four available kits. The door's smooth exterior comes prefinished in one of six standard colors.
