Workplace: A Journal for Academic Labor is once again available at http://www.workplace-gsc.com. The new issue will be on "Youth as a Category Through Which Class is Lived."

The first issue of a new leftwing journal, A CONTRA CORRIENTE: A Journal of Social History and Literature in Latin America/Una revista de historia social y literatura en America Latina, can be seen at www.ncsu.edn/project/acontracorriente.> Rethinking Schools (Winter, 2003) continues its fine work as a nonprofit, independent magazine advocating the reform of elementary and secondary public schools, with an emphasis on urban schools and issues of equity and social justice. The current issue has lead articles on "Students, Toxins and Environmental Racism" with valuable additional articles on "Vouchers: Special Ed Students Need Not Apply" and "Standing Up for Immigrant Students."
