The juggernaut that is competitive bodybuilding in Singapore reached its annual high-water mark in the 39th National Bodybuilding Championships this past April at the World Trade Centre in the city of Singapore. The lucky 1,200 fans with tickets got to see their superhero action figures battle it out live in nine weight classes. Television, radio and newspapers if brought the action home to everyone else.

The contest was organized under the auspices of the Singapore Bodybuilding Federation, led by its redoubtable president, Paul Chua. Chua is also IFBB vice-president for Asia, and he is one of the most important and visible bodybuilding officials in the region.

Among the government dignitaries on hand was Ho Peng Kee, minister of state for law and home affairs. A huge bodybuilding supporter, he helped pass out awards to the triumphant athletes. Complete results Dare included here.
