Current Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson sure is doing his part to recognize his roots by remaining highly active in the NPC. Earlier this year, Jackson was a guest at Tim Gardner's Body*Tech Fitness Emporium in Tampa, Florida, for Team Body * Tech's monthly seminar. Gardner, the promoter of the Tampa Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships, which will be held August 7-8, has been coaching NPC and IFBB athletes since 1995.
"My current roster consists of 490 competitors, 182 champions and 684 titles," Gardner says. It's highly motivational for the athletes."
IFBB Pro League athletes Marcus Haley and Brandie Gardner joined Jackson in greeting 70 of Gardner's 486 rostered IFBB Pro League and NPC competitors. For more information, go to teambodytech.com.
For more Jackson, be sure to catch the 2009 NPC Dexter Jackson Classic--now in its third year--and the inaugural IFBB Jacksonville Pro Men's 202-and-under and Pro Figure Championships both held July 31 and August 1 in Jacksonville, Florida. For further details, visit dexterjacksonclassic.com.
