Superstar supper

Flex, July, 2009

Dinner with two Mr. Olympias? Are you dreaming? Not if you were a lucky winner of the first-ever FLEX Magazine Superstar Supper, presented by MuscleTech. The raffle, held during the weekend at the Arnold Sports Festival expo, offered contestants the chance to dine and rub elbows with 2008 Mr. Dexter Jackson and 2006-07. Mr. O Jay Cutler, which is exactly what winners Michael Bassio, Jamey McCoy and Jeff Marshall did. Here are highlights.

JEFF MARSHALL: "Riding in the stretch Hummer limo with two Mr. Olympias, the staff of FLEX and the girls from the Welder booth was awesome. I felt like a total VIP."

DEXTER JACKSON: "The raffle winners were real nice. They had lots of questions and it was cool to answer them right there in person. Anytime you can help people and inspire them to reach their goals, I'm down with it."

MICHAEL BOSSIO: "Jay was so laid back and down-to-earth. Dexter was the joker. He's just a funny guy."

MICHAEL BOSSIO: "Having supper with them was like sitting down with the last two winners of the World Series or the Stanley Cup champions. By far, the creme de la creme of the entire weekend."

JAY CUTLER: "It was cool to sit down to a nice dinner and socialize with the fans. "Dexter fell asleep in the limo--probably dreaming about how he's gonna defend his title this year and get two Sandows; that sure is a dream. But I woke him up and brought him back to reality, just like I'll do in September."

JAMEY McCOY: "Jay's a real nice, down-to-earth guy We talked about the Arnold Classic a lot."

JAMEY McCOY: "I had a great time meeting Dexter and Jay, and folks from Weider. We had a real enjoyable dinner, and I got to learn about the backgrounds of the guys and some of the behind-the-scenes stuff."

DEXTER JACKSON: "It's the first time anything like this has ever been done and it's always good to get in on something new."

JEFF MARSHAL: "Dexter was very approachable and extremely funny. He was cracking jokes and being the life of the party."
