Power Up The Growth

We have told you that adding some power training to your workouts with exercises such as clean pulls, power cleans and jump squats can push muscle growth to new heights. Here's the proof. The graph shows the percentage increase in activation of muscle enzymes associated with muscle growth after trained athletes performed a clean-pull workout doing 15 sets of three reps using a weight equivalent to 85% of their one-rep max on clean pulls. These enzymes are known to kick off a series of cellular events in the muscle that ultimately results in muscle growth.
