Someday our prince will come-back

Flex, August, 2003 by Jim Schmaltz

Like a supermodel's lunch, you just can't keep a good man down. Stricken superstar TOM PRINCE, recently hospitalized with bleeding ulcers and kidney malfunction, is back in the gym and hectoring training partner BOB CICHERILLO. "I'm training, much lighter than before, but I just love it too much to stop," Prince says about his sojourns to Gold's Gym, Venice. "I've had to cut back drastically on protein consumption, but I'm still 309 pounds. The lightest I weighed was 280 while I was in the hospital." No wonder they call him the Thing.

With Prince being forced to opt out of the Night Of Champions, he'll assume the role of world's beefiest cheerleader in New York on May 31, rooting on his pal. "Bob's not just my training partner, he's a very close friend," Prince informs us. "People don't realize what a nice guy he is. He's always there for me in good times and bad. I hope to watch him kick [CRAIG] TITUS' ass all over the stage."

To see who got kicked and where, turn to the contest report beginning on page 206.
