> Food industry groups developed a voluntary labeling policy change last year to help make food allergens easier to identify, and the FDA is reviewing the policy to make it an industry-wide standard. The most common allergens -- fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, soy foods, milk, eggs and wheat -- are covered by the policy, which has already been adopted by such major food manufacturers as General Mills and Kraft Foods.
