Here come the sun - Extra Bodyfit - Brief Article

Muscle & Fitness/Hers, July, 2002

We know that you know how to keep your skin burn-free when the summer sun is relentless, but these stay-safe tips bear repeating:

Avoid direct sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Apply a sunscreen rated SPF 15 or higher, at least 1 ounce every time (about a shot glass full).

If you're in and out of the pool, even "waterproof" sunscreens and sunblocks need to be reapplied every two hours.

Cover up in loose, light-colored and tightly woven clothing. Wear widebrimmed hats and sunglasses.
