Want to boost your cardio fitness and build muscle in one workout?

It's not impossible, researchers say. When women performed resistance-tubing exercises during step classes for 12 weeks, they not only had better cardiovascular fitness than women performing step alone but also had lean muscle gains similar to strength training. For best results, the resistance tubes should be heavy enough so you can perform only 2-3 sets of 8-12 repetitions per exercise.
