Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedUV adhesive curing station - Brief Article
Automotive Design & Production, Nov, 2001
Who: Dymax Corporation (Torrington, CT)
What: Work Station UV adhesive curing system
Why you should care: Work Station is designed to be a complete curing system that allows viewing of the curing process, is height adjustable and can accommodate various part sizes.
Pertinent Data: Components include a 5" x 5" reflector housing, autoranging power supply (which automatically adjusts to variations in incoming current), retractable shutter (which opens to allow manual or automatically timed exposure of parts to light) and a stand with a ventilation fan and 360[degrees] shielding. The Work Station also includes a safety feature that activates the shutter when the door is opened, thus completely shielding the operator from exposure to UV light. Dymax says the system's moderate intensity light sources can cure most UV adhesives between surfaces in 1 to 5 seconds.
