Get a grip

Automotive Design & Production,  Nov, 2006

Ansell (www.ansellpro.com; Red Bank, NJ) has developed what it has trademarked as "Grip Technology" for its gloves, a coating that consists of a thin nitrile film with a roughed surface. Coated gloves were tested at the University of Birmingham's Sensory Motor Neuroscience Lab, where it was Found that it requires 34 to 69% less grip force to lift an oily 10-lb. object with the gloves as compared with non Grip Technology gloves. The coating is available on AlphaTEC gloves From Ansell.
