Why you should care: MSC says that by determining OOP, their software can help automotive companies "meet federal regulations and design safer products in less time and for less cost." It was designed specifically to help automakers and suppliers meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 which requires out of position passengers to be sensed before deploying air bags.
