Why you should care: Super Precision models will produce highly precise. parts with surface finishes in the eight micro-inch and under range, and maintain continuous machining accuracies in the .0002" (five micron) range.
Pertinent Data: All Quest lathes feature way cover designs that eliminate stopping the machine to clear chips, the ability to machine hardened steel parts which eliminates subsequent grinding operations and patented collet-ready spindles for bar or jaw chuck work. Super Precision models also come with special accuracy spindles with .000015 part roundness capability.
