What: ELF photoelectric sensor
Why you should care: Sick says that ASIC technology and creative engineering have made its ELF sensor one of the smallest and least expensive in the industry. It is targeted at material handling and packaging applications.
Pertinent Data: The ELF features: light immunity, reverse polarity protection, overload protection and short circuit protection. It uses LED technology to achieve optical performance that Sick says is the best in its class. The ELF is available in three versions: reflex retro-reflective, background suppression and energetic. The background suppression model suppresses interference caused by moving or reflective objects in the background and has a detection range up to 50 mm. The energetic model has a detection range of up to 100 mm.
