Automotive Design & Production, April, 2004
The ROFIN EasyMark is a self-contained, transportable diode-pumped laser marker. In fact, the unit is so compact that it is actually described as being a "desktop" unit. The device from Rofin-Baasel (Boxborough, MA; www.rofin.com) is designed to mark metals and polymers and can serve as a replacement for chemical etching or inking. It utilizes what's called "LaserCAD.net" technology, which permits program and laser control files to be downloaded from a computer directly into the unit.
