The 1-Series from Makino inaugurates a new era in reliable, high-performance horizontal machine tools. Created in response to market demand, the 1-Series delivers the advanced proven technology of Makino's A-Series and J-Series at a very competitive price.

The First 1 The compact Makino a51 got the 1-Series off to a very fast start. Offering faster spindle acceleration/deceleration (up to 12,000 rpm standard) than competitive HMCs, the a51 delivers swift axis movement, minimal vibration and easy maintenance in a compact unit.

A Bigger 1 The a71 is the largest in the 1-Series (so far), designed to handle up to 1,540 pounds (700 kg). Also offering swift axis movement and faster spindle acceleration/deceleration (up to 10,000 rpm standard), the a71 has a feed rate of 50m/min. and a 60-tool magazine with a short seek time, diminishing out-of-cut time.
