Adcole Corp

Automotive Design & Production,  August, 2004

If you're working with crankshafts and sometimes feel that the job is getting just a little too big, take this into account. The machine in question is a crankshaft and camshaft gage from Adcole Corp. (Marlborough, MA; www.adcole.com). It's capable of measuring shafts 130-in. long with a 22-in. swing and a mass of up to 3,200 lb. The Model 1200-8 can measure the roundness and straightness of pin journals with a 0.5-[micro]m accuracy.
