Comic book publishers in the US are publishing special editions of comics devoted to New York firemen and police.

One such special edition, 'Marvel Comic's Heroes', has already sold almost 300,000 copies according to British newspaper The Times. The book is a collection of comic book art inspired by the collapse of the World Trade Center and the cover shows a New York fireman, cradling a limp body, drawn in superhero-style by renowned comic book artist Alex Ross.

Other special comic books related to the 11 September terrorist attacks include '9-11: Emergency Relief' from Alternative Comics and a special two-volume book entitled '9-11', to be published by DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics.
