Online retailer Amazon has introduced the 'Search Inside the Book' feature on its German website, Amazon.de.
The facility allows visitors to the site to search and preview the text of more than 100,000 books, with search results showing titles based on every word inside the book.

US-based Amazon.com launched Search Inside the Book in October 2003, and the company claims that the feature is valued by customers. In the first year of its use on Amazon.com, sales growth for books included in Search Inside outpaced growth for those not in the programme by 7%, according to the company.
