Publisher Random House is reportedly planning to use partnership marketing in the UK to help increase awareness and sales for female fiction authors.

According to Brand Republic the company has formed an agreement with partnership marketing agency Cocktail Marketing and is looking to work with two partners in the retail industry during the first quarter of 2007.

As well as boosting the profile of authors in its Century Heinemann Arrow division, such as Katie Fforde and Belinda Jones, Random House is hoping that the programme will improve data capture while also providing additional value to readers.
