The American Booksellers Association (ABA) has announced the winners of the 2007 Book Sense Book of the Year Awards.
The winner of the Adult Nonfiction category was Nora Ephron's book entitled I Feel Bad About My Neck and Sara Gruen won the Adult Fiction category for her novel Water for Elephants: A Novel.
The Children's Literature award went to Markus Zusak for The Book Thief, while Owen & Mzee: The True Story of a Remarkable Friendship, by Isabella and Craig Hatkoff and Dr Paul Kahumbu, with photos by Peter Greste, took the award in the Children's Illustrated category.

In addition the ABA also announced four 2007 Book Sense Book of the Year Honor Books in each category, including The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai, The Road by Cormac McCarthy, The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir by Bill Bryson and Eats, Shoots & Leaves: Why, Commas Really Do Make a Difference! by Lynne Truss, illustrated by Bonnie Timmons.
