Genesis sells 380TH shear - Equipment Report - Genesis Equipment & Manufacturing Inc - Brief Article
Recycling Today, Oct, 2002
Genesis Equipment & Manufacturing Inc., Superior, Wis., has announced the sale of its 380th shear. The sale occurs less than 24 months after the company sold its 200th shear, according to company chairman and CEO Kevin Bakke.
"We knew that our activity level was solid, but given the turmoil we've seen in the economy, the country in general and the scrap industry in particular, we never expected sales to remain so brisk throughout the period," says Bakke. "However, that says a lot about our customers. It shows they believe that improving their own processes is the best way to cope with tough times."
Genesis' Magnum ProSeries Mobile Shears, available for excavators from 30,000 to 250,000 pounds, have been cited by some of the biggest names in the scrap and demolition industries for their excellent cutting forces, fast cycle times and impressive durability even in harsh processing environments.
