Marathon equipment makes appointments

Marathon Equipment Co. of Vernon, Ala., has announced the promotion of Joe Szany to director of international sales and the appointment of Chip Hall as sales manager for the Northeast region.
Szany remains director of NexGen Baling & Conveyor Systems domestic sales, in which he develops the company's next generation of baling equipment based on market trends and needs. He has more than 30 years of experience in the recycling industry.
According to a press release from Marathon Equipment, Szany has been directly responsible for many products and innovations that are now considered the industry standard.
Szany has already recruited many international dealers, according to Marathon. Marathon's international product sales include waste compactors, balers and conveyors.
Hall represents NexGen products in the recycling, document destruction, scrap, material recovery and printing and converting industries. His territory includes the Northeastern United States, spanning from Virginia to Maine.
Hall, who lives in Richmond, Va., brings more than 16 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry. He also has experience in the manufacturing, mining and banking industries.
Marathon manufactures a wide range of recycling products through its NexGen Baling Systems brand, such as the Galaxy2R two-ram balers; TIEger series open-end, auto-tie balers; closed-end, manual-tie balers and other balers for specific applications and budgets.
Marathon Equipment Co., a Dover company, is a leading manufacturer of waste handling equipment, recycling equipment and conveyor systems. Products include commercial stationary and self-contained compaction equipment for handling municipal solid waste; horizontal and vertical balers used for recycling; and conveyor systems.
