Ferretti no longer leading NRC - Municipal Recycling - Will Ferretti; National Recycling Coalition - Brief Article
Recycling Today, Nov, 2001
The board of directors of the National Recycling Coalition (NRC), Alexandria, Va., has elected not to retain Will Ferretti as the association's executive director.
The NRC board issued an announcement in mid-October that Kate Krebs, former deputy director of the organization, has been named acting executive director. NRC president Paul Baldridge, an official with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Columbus, says Krebs "will provide staff leadership and board support in the months ahead as the search begins for a new executive director."
The switch occurs between the originally scheduled dates for the NRC's Annual Congress--Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2001, and the re-scheduled dates of Jan. 13-16 2002. The convention, to be held in Seattle, was moved back after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Krebs has been involved with the recycling industry since 1982, when she began serving as executive director of a community recycling center in Arcata, Calif. "I look forward to working with the board of directors and members during this transition period," says Krebs.
