Proposed recycled newsprint mill one step closer - Paper - Besicorp-Empire Development Company L.L.C - Brief Article

Besicorp-Empire Development Co. LLC has submitted its air permit application to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) in connection with its plans to build a cogeneration plant and recycled newsprint manufacturing facility in Rensselaer, N.Y.
If built, the facility would produce more than 330,000 metric tons of 100 percent recycled newsprint per year.
If permitting is comple in the fourth quarter of 2002, the plant could begin opeating in 2004.
