PSI chapter of ISRI - People - Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. Paper Stock Industries chapter awards Jonathan M. Gold - Brief Article

Jonathan M. Gold of the Newark Group's Recycled Fibers Division, Marblehead, Mass., has been named as the first recipient of the Phil Alpert Award.

The award is presented by Paper Stock Industries (PSI) chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI), Washington, "to someone who has shown outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to the PSI chapter of ISRI and to the scrap paper industry for a minimum of 10 years."

It is named for former PSI president Phil Alpert, a long-time PSI officer who died in November of 2001.

Gold was introduced as someone who was, "a president of this chapter at a young age and has continued to serve the trade association in a multitude of ways, [often] without fanfare."
