The recently combined IMCO Recycling and Commonwealth Industries has chosen Aleris International Inc. as its new name, suburban Cleveland as its new headquarters and Steven J. Demetriou, previously president and CEO of Commonwealth, as chairman and CEO of the company.

The combined company announced the finalization of the IMCO-Commonwealth merger and the Aleris International Inc. name in early December. The company's stock is now trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ARS.

Commonwealth stockholders are entitled to receive 0.815 shares of Aleris (formerly IMCO) common stock for each of their shares of Commonwealth common stock.

"Today marks the creation of a new vertically integrated aluminum company with approximately $2.3 billion in pro-forma sales," Demetriou says.

Aleris expects to employ approximately 100 employees in its suburban-Cleveland headquarters.

The company has 29 production locations in the United States and Europe and employs approximately 3,200 people. More information is avialable at www.aleris.com.
