Travel site sources for military buffs

If you are a military, history buff who likes to tour historic sites nationwide, there is a set of guidebooks you need to know about. They are published by McFarland Publishers, Jefferson, N.C., (800) 253-2187:

American Revolutionary War Sites (1998);

Civil War Sites (1997);

Indian War Sites (1999);

Historic Hiking Trails (2002); and

War Monuments, Museums and Library Collections of 20th Century Conflicts (2002).

All of these travel guides contain state-by-state entries under the nearest town.
