An Army of volunteer reserves

Your emphasis on volunteerism in the April issue prompted me to write. American Volunteer Reserves (AVR) has a threefold mission: assist in homeland security, back up the military services during emergencies and provide military funeral honors.
Created by the U.S. Army several years ago, AVR is organized nationwide on a brigade basis coinciding with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regions. For more information, visit: www.amervolres.org or e-mail: JpotterCS@aol.com.
