Editor's Note: The April NRA letter by John Sywak prompted this response:
NRA's Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program does not involve the handling of firearms. It has been provided to more than 16 million children by some 10,000 schools, civic groups and law enforcement agencies. It is endorsed by the National Sheriff's Association and recognized by the National Safety Council. At least 23 governors have signed resolutions recommending that the program be made available in their states.
