I was recently medevaced out of Iraq where I have lost friends. I am grappling with that loss with difficulty. Your Memorial Day cover in May was the most compelling portrayal of grief I have seen from this war. I was very moved by it. It is a great and sober reminder to me every day that I command troops in combat.
