Three GIs Killed in Afghanistan

Three U.S. soldiers were killed Sept. 20 in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Robert S. Goodwin and Staff Sgt. Tony B. Olaes, both of the 2nd Bn., 3rd Special Forces Group, died when enemy forces using small arms and rocket-propelled grenades attacked their patrol vehicle in Shkin, near the Pakistan border.

Spc. Wesley R. Wells, of the 2rid Bn., 27th Inf., 25th Inf. Div., died when "anti-coalition militia forces" fired on his observation post in Naka in Paktika province.
