Vietnam education center moves ahead

In February, the National Park Service endorsed construction of an "underground" educational facility on the three-acre site of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
This helps pave the way for passage of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Education Act (S. 281 in the Senate and H.R. 510 in the House). The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which hosts 4.4 million visitors every year, celebrates its 20th anniversary this November.
