Are public double standards at work?

Re: Item in Now Hear This (March). I was appalled to read that a California school district had made teaching of Islam mandatory. There should be the same mandatory teaching of all religious faiths. We live in a society with double standards.

May I remind you that other religions have been spread by the force of arms. Not understanding another culture leads to animosity. We are not at war with Islam--we are at war with terrorists.
