Southwestern College (CA) President Serafin Zasueta was removed from office and placed on administrative leave this winter by unanimous vote of the trustees. Officials at the school are investigating a personnel matter. Media reports state that faculty criticized Zasueta for leaving them out of important decisions and for "questionable" spending.
A day before being removed from office, Zasueta announced that he would retire next year.
