SMART Technologies offers free software - What's new: looking for higher-education and technology products and services?

University Business, April, 2003 by Nicole Rivard

If you've been on the fence deciding whether or not to buy an interactive whiteboard, now there's some added incentive. Smart Technologies is shipping a free copy of SMART Ideas concept-mapping software (for the Windows OS) with every SMART Board interactive whiteboard. The bundle includes a comprehensive, expandable clip-art gallery and the ability to incorporate any multimedia or file type.

Notes written in SMART Ideas software can be converted into text within nodes, which can then be connected. Faculty can simply use their finger to reorganize nodes, helping students understand relationships between concepts in an engaging way. For more information, go to www.smarttech.com. If you already have the interactive whiteboard, you can download the software from www.smarttech.com/support/software/index.asp.> [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]
