Apple has introduced new configurations of the eMac. For the same entry-level price of $699 for education, users can now have the power of an 800 MHz PowerPC G4 processor. And for $1,099, users can purchase a configuration with the Superdrive, which records DVD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs twice as fast as previous models. The eMac features a 17-inch CRT display, offering 40 percent more viewing area than a typical. 15-inch CRT display, eMac also includes a built-in antenna and card slot to support Airport Extreme 802.11 wireless networking.
