Easier for educators - New views on presentation systems and products
University Business, August, 2003 by Jean Marie Angelo
Canon is marketing its new LV-7555 projector to the education market, stressing that it's an easy-to-use projector that's meant for large classrooms and other venues. The model, which weighs 20.5 pounds, features 4600 ANSI lumens and a "turbo bright" mode. The projector comes with an Ethernet-ready network imager, which allows users to turn the projector on and off from remote locations. The LV-7555 can also be connected to a server, enabling instructors to draw presentation materials directly from saved files and the Internet list price for the projector is $7,999, which includes a standard zoom lens. Four other interchangeable lenses are available, including an ultra-wide lens, a wide-angle zoom, a long-focus zoom, and an ultra-long-focus zoom. Prices for each are $2,500, except the ultra-long-focus zoom, which is listed at $3,000. More details are available at www.canonprojectors.com.
