Fraser study says legalized marijuana could generate more than $2 billion in taxes

> VANCOUVER -- A Fraser Institute report, Marijuana Growth in British Columbia, says the BC marijuana crop has a retail value of over $7 billion. The report, published by the market-oriented think tank, proposes that taxed as a legal product, it can generate over $2 billion for the government. The study's author, Stephen Easton, professor of economics at Simon Fraser University estimates that there are roughly 17,500 marijuana grow ops in BC.
