Canadian Red Cross Society, Oakville Branch c/o Canadian Red Cross, Ontario Zone. To purchase a van that will be used to help individuals in the Oakville area who are affected by disaster and provide transportation to isolated seniors and people with disabilities. $22,000 over six months.

Halton Environmental Network c/o Ontario Environment Network. To develop the Halton Environmental Network which will provide a mechanism for community groups to exchange information, share ideas and work together to create a healthier environment. $198,000 over three years.

Halton Healthy Community Funding Consortium. To support the Halton Healthy Community Consortium, a collaborative initiative to pool funding resources in order to better support community-based programs and build a healthy, sustainable community. $90,000 over three years.

Halton Helping Hands. To purchase equipment that will enhance volunteer coordination and operations, and enable this community organization to provide home cleaning, gardening and maintenance services for seniors and people with disabilities. $33,500 over one year.

Leadership Peel c/o Volunteer Centre of Peel. To deliver Leadership Peel, a program that brings together individuals from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to develop leadership skills and participate in community projects. $213,000 over three years.

Malton (Mavericks) Youth Basketball Club Inc. To expand a basketball program for at-risk youth in the Malton arca so that more young people will be able to participate throughout the entire year. $13,200 'over one year.

Milton Springers Gymnastics Club. To purchase new equipment so that more Milton area youth will be able to participate in gymnastic sports. $80,000 over one year.

Mississauga Children's Choir. To create a training chorus that will enhance the quality of community performances and enable younger children to participate. $31,500 over two years.

BC Children and Family Development, Canuck Place Children's Hospice, Vancouver. To address an increasing demand for complex palliative services in home based care. (in addition to the $800,000 in annual funding from the Ministry of Health Services.) [E]information @canuckplace.org $250,000
