Women's Information and Support Centre of Halton. To enable the organization to better support the needs of Halton-area women by undertaking a strategic organizational review. $8,000 Over 10 months.

Affiliated Services for Children and Youth. To support a community-wide initiative to reduce and prevent bullying among children and youth in the Hamilton area. $75,000 over one year.

Centre de sante communautaire Hamilton-Wentworth-Niagara inc. To assist this community health centre expand services to Franco-Ontarians living in the Hamilton-Wentworth-Niagara area and to provide greater volunteer opportunities within the francophone community. $36,000 over 15 months.

Circle of Friends for Newcomers. (Hamilton). To enable Hamiltonians who speak Chinese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian to strengthen their communities as they locate a host agency that will provide an overall administrative structure. $15,000 over one year.

Community Child Abuse Council of Canada. To develop a strategic fundraising plan, produce additional educational materials and purchase equipment for presentations on preventing child abuse in the Hamilton area. $30,000

Interval House of Hamilton-Wentworth. To obtain equipment and support an onsite fitness program that will benefit women who have experienced family violence and abuse. $35,900

Sexual Assault Centre (Hamilton and Area). To enable the organization to continue to provide valuable services to Hamilton area victims of sexual assault while undertaking revenue generating initiatives to sustain its programs. $110,000

Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys' and Girls' Club. To help prevent teen smoking by holding a youth-led Teen obacco Summit in Hamilton. $20,400

Wellwood Resource Centre of Hamilton. To train volunteers, evaluate programs, and reach out to members of the community who are affected by cancer providing timely and helpful support. $109,000 over three years.

Timiskaming Child and Family Services. To assist in holding the 2004 Multiple Births Canada Conference in New Liskeard so that Timiskaming area social service organizations will be able to participate and learn how to better support multiple birth families. $23,400 over nine months.

Muskoka Seniors Home Assistance. To better serve Muskoka area seniors, attract volunteers and increase fundraising by purchasing needed administrative equipment and developing a data base of clients, volunteers and financial supporters. $24,300

Parry Sound Family Service. To initiate a family counselling service in Parry Sound which will help families experiencing marital, parenting, financial and other difficulties. Over two years.

Stephenson Co-operative Nursery School. Renovate the children's washroom of this community nursery serving families living in rural areas between Huntsville and Bracebridge. $9,000

Ontario March of Dimes. To support the production of a guide highlighting businesses and attractions that are accessible for people with disabilities. The initiative will benefit area residents and tourists to the area. $24,000
