QUEBEC -- La Vigile, a psychiatric treatment facility for police officers has completed a year of operation. It was founded by two experienced police officers who found that people are reluctant to seek psychiatric or addiction treatment. Quebec's provincial police officer's union has donated funds to La Vigile, and hundreds of officers have agreed to pay deductions to finance treatment for fellow officers.
