The purpose of this project is to raise awareness in the Francophone community women, care workers, organizations about the needs of immigrant and refugee Francophone women who have been traumatized by war, in terms of services related to violence prevention and intervention. $15,000

Groupe artisanal feminin francophone G.A.F.F.O.) Toronto. Project: "ET SI ON LEVAIT LES VOILES .. fin a l'alcoolisme qui tue nos femmes". SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE SITUATION: putting an end to alcoholism that kills our women) The G.A.F.F.O. is going to publish twenty stories gathered from women victims of violence due to alcohol. The purpose is to demystify alcoholism as the primary catalyst of violence from women of African origin, and to educate families, women and young people on the devastating effects of alcohol on health, family stability, behaviour and abuse. $14,000

Centre de sante communautaire Hamilton/Niagara, Hamilton. Project: "Breaking the cycle of violence: Hamilton and Niagara". The purpose of this project is to develop a flexible approach to the particular needs of various Francophone schools and community groups in Hamilton and the Niagara region. $12,000
