Youth justice law in place - General - Youth Criminal Justice Act - Brief Article

OTTAWA -- Youth Criminal Justice Act has received Royal Assent and replaces the Young Offenders Act.

The federal government has committed $1 billion over five years for cost-sharing agreements that will help provinces and territories implement the new law.

The government is also providing additional funding for innovative community-based pilot projects, partnerships and other efforts that will support the renewal of the youth justice system. 613-957-9623
