Debra J. Brown, PhD, RN, CFNP, CANP, is an assistant professor and MSN Coordinator, Family Nurse Practitioner at the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Brown received her BSN form the University of the Virgin Islands, her masters degree from Howard University, a post-masters certificate in teaching form the University of Pennsylvania and her doctorate from the University of Michigan.
