Dental Assistant, The, May-June, 2004
Welcome to ADAA's 80th Annual Conference. Anther milestone of achievement for the professional dental assistants of America.
As we prepare to participate in this worthwhile yearly activity, I invite you to reflect on the accomplishments of our association during the past year as we maintained programs of education service to the U. S. Army, launched a recognition program with the American College of Prosthodontists and continued our rewarding partnership with the Academy of General Dentistry in bringing you a supermarket of education, social events and leisure activities known as the Annual Conference.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Anaheim, California, and the Academy of General Dentistry's 52nd Annual Meeting. We are proud to share the Anaheim Convention Center with the American Dental Assistants Association and the American Association of Women Dentists.
This Annual Meeting on-site program book includes all of the information that you will need to gain maximum benefit from the next few days; all of the great education, tours and events. If you prefer a digital version of the book, go to the resource pavilion to download the at-a-glance schedule onto your Palm-programmed PDA.
Take advantage of this time during the AGD Annual Meeting to network with your peers. Take time to say hello to someone who you have not had the pleasure of meeting. Enjoy Anaheim and all the city and surrounding areas have to offer.
John D. Chandler, DDS, MAGD AGD President 2003-2004

At this meeting we will award the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award to 2003's recipient, Dr. Trucia Drummond. We are also excited to welcome a host of excellent speakers and seminars designed especially for you.
