ADAA/AGD 2004 Annual Conference Program: Anaheim, California—July 8-11, 2004: The Wonderful World of Dentistry

Dental Assistant, The, May-June, 2004

Welcome to ADAA's 80th Annual Conference. Anther milestone of achievement for the professional dental assistants of America.

As we prepare to participate in this worthwhile yearly activity, I invite you to reflect on the accomplishments of our association during the past year as we maintained programs of education service to the U. S. Army, launched a recognition program with the American College of Prosthodontists and continued our rewarding partnership with the Academy of General Dentistry in bringing you a supermarket of education, social events and leisure activities known as the Annual Conference.

In addition to AGD, we are pleased to acknowledge the American Association of Women Dentists as we share education and goodwill here in sunny southern California.

So learn and profit, relax and enjoy. All these things are waiting for you. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Dentistry!

Kay Mosley, CDA ADAA President 2003-2004

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Anaheim, California, and the Academy of General Dentistry's 52nd Annual Meeting. We are proud to share the Anaheim Convention Center with the American Dental Assistants Association and the American Association of Women Dentists.

This Annual Meeting on-site program book includes all of the information that you will need to gain maximum benefit from the next few days; all of the great education, tours and events. If you prefer a digital version of the book, go to the resource pavilion to download the at-a-glance schedule onto your Palm-programmed PDA.

Take advantage of this time during the AGD Annual Meeting to network with your peers. Take time to say hello to someone who you have not had the pleasure of meeting. Enjoy Anaheim and all the city and surrounding areas have to offer.

John D. Chandler, DDS, MAGD AGD President 2003-2004

Welcome to AAWD's 83rd Annual Meeting, Enriching and Nurturing the Diverse Lives of Women Dentists. We are happy to once again team up with the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Assistants Association for what we are certain will be fun-filled education, networking and friendship.

Be sure to come to our Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 10th as we pay tribute to past award recipients of the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award, the highest award bestowed upon an AAWD member. At this meeting we will award the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award to 2003's recipient, Dr. Trucia Drummond. We are also excited to welcome a host of excellent speakers and seminars designed especially for you.

Whether you are a student, recent graduate or a seasoned professional--stop by and learn for yourself why AAWD is the premier organization for women dentists.

Jean Furuyama, DDS AAWD President
